Fine art valuers, advisors & brokers since 1972
The firms principle, John Vost has taken to writing novels, thrillers which you might enjoy. All have an art theme throughout and are based on true experiences in Johns life.
The second book Saviour of the World is set in the Channels
Islands, Derbyshire and East Anglia in the present day. The plot revolves
around an Old Master recovered from a shipwreck and then stolen by an International
gang, there is a touch of romance in this one but with a tragic ending.
Book number three The Letter is set in the Scottish Highlands
and East Anglia. The story is woven around true events when a famous painting
is stolen and traced to the Fens. The action moves to Tangiers before the
denouement in Scotland.
Pobeli is the fourth book but this doesnt have an art
theme. It is based on the true story of the murder of a British/Iraqi family
in the Alps in 2012 and the book puts forward a reasonable theory as to why
they were killed. Set in France, London and the Scottish Borders it has a
feeling of Alfred Hitchcock and John Buchan about it.
